Remember when we rang in 2020? Some of us made resolutions, while others just hoped for brighter days ahead.
And then, almost overnight, we all received a crash course in pandemics, COVID, coronavirus and — if you own or run a business or organization — the harsh realities of economics.
While many business owners have endured hardships in the past, there’s never been a singular event like this pandemic that has impacted so many of us at one time. From learning about loan and grant programs to laying off staff and recalculating annual budgets, COVID-19 has been accompanied by no shortage of lessons … some positive, many negative.
On a positive note, it has also taught us about change and resilience. Never before have we seen so many examples of businesses and organizations thinking outside the box and implementing new strategies in an effort to keep the doors open. At Chakra, for example, we launched a new online store to assist other businesses while also giving our company a shot in the arm. While our sales to date have been limited, we hope it’s something we can potentially grow into a new revenue stream once it’s had some time to develop and mature.
While we work hard to steady our own ship through this crisis, we are also doing everything in our power to help not only our clients but the entire Western New York business community. From noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, we’re hosting a free business seminar titled “Reclaiming Your Business: Ideas to Bring Customers and Revenue Back.” The event will be held in the West Seneca Community Center & Library at 1300 Union Road.
Come join us and hear how Chakra, Focus Photography by Adelle, SM-Blu Digital and Spot Coffee on Union are working hard to survive the pandemic and adapt to an uncertain future. Due to social distancing requirements, space is limited and reservations are required. To RSVP, please call (716) 517-5124 or email Joe Griffin at firstname.lastname@example.org. Masks will be required until participants are seated.
By working together, we can also learn from each other. We hope you’ll join us on Aug. 6 to network, refer, connect and, most importantly, grow!
