What’s one thing people don’t know about you? I actually enjoy doing the garden walks.
What’s your favorite book? Not really a book, but a short story by Ambrose Bierce called “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge.”
Favorite quote? One that Marv Levy said to the Bills players after their first Super Bowl loss:
“’Fight on, my men,’ Sir Andrew said. ‘A little I’m hurt but not yet slain. I’ll just lie down and bleed a while, and then I’ll rise and fight again.'”
What’s your most prized possession? I had my picture taken with Randy Smith of the Buffalo Braves when I was a young kid. I met him years later and told him that I had my picture taken with him as a youngster, so he did an autograph for me and signed it, “To Daryl – Great seeing you again! #9 Randy Smith NBA Iron Man.” I have both of those framed together and it hangs on a wall at home.
Do you have any hidden talents? I’m a pretty good cook.
What’s one thing you’re passionate about? Family, friends, Bills & Sabres. OK, that’s four, but…
Favorite thing about working at Chakra? The people here are a second family. We may disagree, bicker and argue sometimes, but at the end of the day we’re all pulling towards achieving the same goals.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? Omnilingualism: the ability to understand any form of language.
What famous person, dead or alive, would you want to have dinner with? George Harrison.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like to check out new places in WNY and hang with the crew at Gordy’s Inn.
